The Illinois Holocaust Museum & Education Center in Chicago is solely devoted to spreading knowledge about the Holocaust and the impact it had on the families and nations involved. The exhibits in the museum are perfect way for children and adults to spend time on field trips or family vacations. The combination of art, artifacts, documents, and photographs are a collection which is unmatched throughout the world.
There are several permanent exhibits at the Illinois Holocaust Museum & Education Center, and there are few that last for only a season before they are taken away. The Zev and Shifra Karkomi Permanent Exhibition goes through the entire history of the Holocaust from Germany before the war to life afterwards in countries like Israel. The Room of Remembrance contains the Hall of Reflection, a moving tribute of the many names of victims that were subject to the Holocaust.
